US Transcom: Private Beds for 440 Soldiers
In Vlissingen, 440 US military personnel stayed in a large hall for 45 days. Privacy there meant blankets and tape. Keeping everyone warm meant heating the entire space. Together with US Transcom, Bed-Stay placed the Bed-Stay Hostel inside the hall. Soldiers got their own private sleeping space with privacy screens, and heating costs dropped by 80%. Between 2021 and 2024, Bed-Stay built this facility in Vlissingen several times.
