Bed-Stay ensures rest for volunteers of Red Cross Flanders during Halle Carnival

Carnival in Halle is a big celebration. Thousands of people in the streets, music, confetti and a city in full festive spirit. But behind the scenes, police officers, firefighters and volunteers of Red Cross Flanders work around the clock to keep that celebration safe. They deserve a good night's rest, just like everyone else.

From 14 to 17 March 2026, Bed-Stay delivered 13 Cube sleeping solutions for the volunteers of Red Cross Flanders, commissioned by the City of Halle. The Cube is a modular sleeping unit that offers privacy, comfort and warmth, making it the ideal solution for temporary accommodation at events where space and flexibility are critical.

The setup had to be adjusted on-site due to a change in location. The original plan could not be executed as expected, but that is exactly where Bed-Stay stands out. The modular nature of our system means that adjustments can be made quickly, without tools and without losing time. Our team adapted the layout on the spot and made sure everything was ready on time.

The volunteers had their own sleeping space with privacy and comfort, right in the middle of a busy event. For people working long shifts to keep an event safe, having a proper place to rest makes a real difference. Not just physically, but mentally too. Knowing that there is a comfortable and private space waiting for you after a long shift changes everything.

The City of Halle and Red Cross Flanders were very satisfied with the collaboration and the flexibility Bed-Stay demonstrated throughout the project. The feedback we received was very positive, and the volunteers appreciated having their own space with real privacy. So satisfied in fact, that they are already planning to work with Bed-Stay again next year. That is exactly the kind of feedback that makes us proud of what we do.
